Easily the most comprehensive, structured, and common-sense method available. It overcomes the inherent challenges of notating brush strokes by including videos from multiple angles of everything from the most basic strokes through full musical performances in a variety of styles. I can’t recommend it enough.

Who This Is For

You know what brushes should sound like. You’ve heard it on recordings. The problem isn’t desire—it’s that no one’s ever given you a clear, logical method to get there.

This book is for intermediate to advanced drummers who are done saving brushes for last.

What You’ll Be Able to Do

  • Play brushes the way you play sticks — with freedom and intention

  • Recreate the sounds you hear in recordings

  • Walk into any gig with brushes and know exactly what to do

This is by far the most comprehensive and easy to use brush book I’ve ever worked through. Brushes are a tricky and different beast. This book breaks down the basics and then builds upon the motions in a clear and enjoyable way. If you’re looking to get better at brushes, GET THIS BOOK!
